God Has a Plan For Everyone WEEK 1 - PART 3
First of all, let's review our memory verse for this week:
13
(For non-readers, have a reader read the post aloud and work through questions together, allowing time for the non-reader to draw answers in the notebook.)15
"For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be." Psalm 139:13-16
Watch this video and learn about God's plan for Samuel.
There are many other people mentioned in the Bible that God used for His purposes.
For instance, God used Joseph to make a way to keep his family from starving during a very bad famine. Have you heard that story?
God used Moses to free the Israelites from Pharoah, King of Egypt. Do you know that story?
How about King David? I'm sure you have heard about his famous battle with the giant Goliath while he was still a boy!
And let's not forget about Jesus. God planned how Jesus would be born, who His mother and father would be, and that He would save the world from sin.
Absolutely amazing!
Don't think that you were left out. Oh, no!!!
You are just as much a part of God's plan as Jesus. He wants you to know and trust Him and even serve Him.
In our last lesson we made pictures of ourselves labeled "IMAGE BEARER."
For today's lesson you will be making a picture of your family. You can use a separate piece of paper and glue it into your spiral when you're done.
1. The next empty page is for your picture of your whole family. Everyone is important. Be sure to draw all the people that live with you, your brothers and sister, your Mom and Dad.
2. Under each image write something special about this person. If you have trouble thinking of something, try to remember that each one is made in God's image and is special. This should help you to name a special characteristic for each person.
3. When you are done, take a minute to thank God for placing you in your family with such special IMAGE BEARERS.
Be sure to glue or tape your picture into your spiral on the next blank page.
