RESCUED! WEEK 2 - PART 1

(For non-readers, have a reader read the post aloud and work through questions together, recording answers when necessary and allowing time for the non-reader to draw answers in his or her notebook.)

FIRST, let's review what we covered last week.

Psalm 139:13-14
For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.

Fill in the blanks from this word bank=>    families      favorite      made     plan

God _________ the world and everything in it.
We humans are God's __________ part of creation. We know this because He said, "It is very good!"
God loves us very much, so He made a __________ for each of our lives.
That includes our __________, where we live, our strengths and challenges, even our siblings.

THE PROBLEM OF SIN
Jesus came to earth to fix our brokenness.

Answer these questions from the video in your spiral. Use the next clean page and put your NAME and DATE on the page.
1. God created a perfect world but something happened that changed that. In your own words talk, write, or draw about what changed.
2. God knew we humans needed His rescue. He made a plan to do just that! Again in your own words write down, tell aloud, or draw what His plan was.
3. Another word for rescuer is redeemer. Get a dictionary and look up the meaning of these two words. Write the definition of both rescuer and redeemer in your spiral. Read these aloud for the non-readers in your family.

This week's Bible verse is John 3:16-17. Copy this into your spiral and say it out loud.
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
