Extending the Lesson WEEK 7
There are tons of great activities on this page. Complete two of the four options below. To modify reading activities for non-readers, have a reader help them choose activities and read instructions for them. They can draw their responses in their spiral.
Option One:
Look at WEEK 7 - PART 3 and role play all the bulleted ways Nikki doesn't have to play the victim. Switch the parts around so no one person is always playing Nikki.
Option Two:
View the videos below and complete the corresponding responses from workbook page 5-10.
Joseph Sold into Slavery
The Fiery Furnace
Jesus' Sacrifice
Stephen's Death
Paul and Silas
Option Three:
Complete workbook page 5-9 by drawing a line from hand to hand along each pointing finger. Then count how many paths there are on the page.
Option Four:
Complete workbook page 5-8 by playing the Blame Game. You will need one coin for each player. Each
player places a coin on the start mark. Flip a coin to see who starts the game.
flip a coin every time you take a turn. Heads: you move three spaces. Tails:
you don’t move at all until your next turn.
Note to parents: this game is purposely vague and aims at getting players to pretend to be in conflict. It is a backward approach to foster learning the five ways we escalate the Blame Game. Hint: Play with lightheartedness and talk it out at every turn.
