Making Choices the Wise Way WEEK 6 - Part 1

Opening prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for loving us and showing us how to forgive one another. Help us to follow your guidance from the Word to make wise choices instead of foolish choices that cause conflicts. We love you and worship you, All Wise God.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

This week we look in on Carlos and Matt. Carlos has some tough decisions to make. Select LISTEN IN BROWSER to hear their story.

God's Word says:
The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways.   Proverbs 14:8

Carlos has a choice to make. He can decide to do what he feels like doing, which will probably lead to trouble, or he can decide to do what he knows is right, Which will please God and prevent a conflict with his father.

Open your spiral to the next clean page and put your name and date on the page.
1.  Copy your Bible verse onto the page.
2.  In the glossary section of your spiral (in the back) add these two words, scribe and collaborate, and write a definition for each word.
3. Have you ever had to choose between your selfish feelings and what you knew what the right thing to do? Write or draw your answer in your spiral under your new Bible verse.
4. What were the consequences of your choice? Write or draw your answer in your spiral.
5. How did you feel about making that choice? Would you make the same choice again? Write or draw your answer in your spiral.
6. Look in your workbook on pages 4-3 and 4-4. Read through the pages carefully. Help the non-readers in your family to know what each speech bubble is saying.
7. Think about the MY-WAY choices and compare them to the WISE-WAY choices.

We'll discuss this more in the next lesson.
